Nichola-Graphic Design


David Carson is a graphic design artist born September 8, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He is known for his typography and magazine designs. He became known in the 1990s through his inventive graphics used in skateboarding, music  and surfing magazines. His style defined what is called the “grunge typography” era. Carson received worldwide attention when he became art director of Ray Gun, a music magazine. Carson has also done work for such companies as Pepsi, Nike, Microsoft, Budweiser, Armani, etc.  In 1995, Carson published his book entitled “ End of Point”. This book sold over 200,000 copies and became one of the best selling graphic design books worldwide. Since 2010, Carson has held lectures and workshops around the world.
